About Us
At SCC, we began as a humble gathering, born out of a deep desire for spiritual growth and connection. We’ve grown into a place where people truly care for one another and worship the Lord with heartfelt sincerity and truth. Here, you'll find a community that feels like family—where friendships flourish and faith is nurtured. We warmly invite you to join us and experience the love, fellowship, and spirit-filled worship that makes SCC so special. Come and see for yourself the beauty of being part of this incredible community.
What to Expect
At SCC, we are more than a church—we’re an incredible family, passionate about caring for each other and our community. From our Sunday morning breakfasts to our youth events and joyful, uplifting worship, we’re not your ordinary church. We believe in doing life together, and we’d love for you to be a part of our family. Whether you’re looking for a place to grow, connect, or just feel at home, we welcome you with open arms. Come as you are, and experience the love and warmth that makes SCC so special.
Our Pastor & Leadership Team
Our leadership team at SCC is guided by passionate individuals who share a deep commitment to serving both God and our community in Newton County. Led by our pastor, we strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where people can grow in their faith and experience the love of Christ. Our church’s story began in a grocery store, driven by visionary leaders who saw the need for spiritual growth and a fresh approach to community outreach. Today, that vision continues as our team works together with dedication and purpose to build a church that makes a real impact in the lives of our congregation and beyond.
Our Beliefs
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God; we believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the father, the son, and the holy spirit; we believe that man was created in the image of God and eternal salvation is the free gift of God; We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Constitution
Our constitution explains our purpose while articulating our mission and methodology. The by-laws of our church explain the parameters set forth for fund raising, outreach, ordination, expenditures, missionary support, etc.
Our History
Stewart Community Church was built upon the faith of a small group of families that came together and shared a desire to start a new church. Drawn from previous church experiences, a love for each other, and a commitment to follow God, a new family in Christ was born.
